[PROP #41] Conclude Incentives Season 2 and Distribute Points Redemption

TL;DR

This proposal formally concludes Incentives Season 2 at the end of its one-year term and distributes DYM directly to participants against the points they accrued. Redemption is set at 1 DYM per 20 points for X-verified accounts and 1 DYM per 33 points for unverified accounts, requiring a incentives budget pool spend of 6,535,738 DYM.

There is no claim window and no action required from participants. DYM is sent directly to each registered address, and a public page will show every recipient their allocation and the transaction that delivered it.

This proposal closes a program and distributes DYM against the points participants accrued in it.

Context

Incentives Season 2 launched in July 2025 as a one-year program with a single objective: bring sustained user activity to the Dymension chain. Participants accrued points for on-chain behaviour β€” staking, providing liquidity, holding stablecoins, and operating within the ecosystem β€” with a bonus for accounts that linked a verified X identity.

The program has reached the end of its intended term. Final standings:

Metric Value
Registered accounts 50,716
Total outstanding points 180,239,313
X-verified accounts 9,278 (18% of wallets, 30% of points)
Accounts with an active stake 41,792
Accounts already redeemed to date 719
DYM already distributed 927,374

Points belonging to the 719 accounts that already redeemed have been deducted from their balances, so the figures above represent remaining, unredeemed points only. There is no double-counting.

Proposal

1. Conclude Season 2. Points accrual ends and all balances freeze at the snapshot taken at the close of the season. No new accounts, actions, or bonuses accrue points after this date.

2. Set the redemption rate. Accrued points convert to DYM as follows:

  • X-verified accounts: 20 points per 1 DYM
  • Unverified accounts: 33 points per 1 DYM

Verification status is determined by the linked X identity recorded at the snapshot.

3. Fund the distribution. A community pool spend of 6,535,738 DYM, covering all accrued points across the participant set:

Group Accounts Points Rate DYM
X-verified 9,278 54,523,108 1:20 2,726,155
Unverified 41,438 125,716,205 1:33 3,809,583
Total 50,716 180,239,313 β€” 6,535,738

4. Distribute directly to participant addresses. DYM is sent to the dym1 address recorded for each account in the snapshot. There is no claim step, no deadline, and no forfeiture. Distribution is executed in batches following passage, and completes within 14 days from receiving the funds.

5. Publish a public distribution page. A page will be made available where any participant can enter their address and see their points balance, verification status, the resulting DYM allocation, and a link to the transaction that delivered it. The full allocation dataset is published alongside it so the distribution can be independently verified against the snapshot.

Motivation

The program has run its intended course. Season 2 was designed as a one-year effort, with points redeemable for DYM. This proposal concludes it on those terms and funds the distribution in full.

Direct distribution is the right mechanism. A claim window requires every participant to learn about it, act within a fixed period, and pay gas to receive what they already earned. In practice that means repeated announcements, participants who miss the deadline through no fault of their own, and a residue of unresolved cases. Sending DYM directly removes all of it: nobody has to be reached, nobody misses out, and the distribution either completed correctly or it did not β€” which anyone can verify on-chain.

The rate is calibrated, not arbitrary. The 719 accounts that redeemed during the season did so at roughly 33 points per DYM. This proposal holds unverified accounts at that same rate, so participants who did not redeem earlier are not disadvantaged relative to those who did, and gives verified accounts a ~65% premium reflecting the additional step they took. Verified accounts are 18% of wallets but 30% of points, and take 42% of the distribution.

The distribution is broad, not concentrated. Median payout is roughly 92 DYM, and the ten largest wallets together take under 6% of the total. This is a wide distribution across ~50,000 addresses rather than a transfer to a small set of large holders β€” which is exactly what an activity program should produce.

Closing the program cleanly is prudent treasury management. Fixing the rate, funding it once, and executing it in a single distribution converts an open-ended and unpriced draw on the community pool into a known, bounded figure that is settled and closed.
